ISLAMABAD: In another address full of prophecy, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan said that he foresees elections before Eid next year.

“I believe elections will be held before next Eid and your government will come in to power.”

Continuing on the theme of rigging in elections, Imran pointed towards a report by Fafen where they pointed out three ways which could easily prove if the May 2013 elections were rigged or not. He added that in addition to the method listed by Fafen, if procurements of ballot papers and ink are probed, it would reveal those involved in rigging.

On the defamation cases filed against him by former Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry and Justice (retd) Ramday, Imran said he could not wait for the cases the be affixed for hearing. Urging the two to club their defamation cases against him, Imran said he would reveal how the two orchestrated the elections and how they were helped by members within the Lahore High Court.

Taking a swipe at Bilawal Bhutto and Asif Ali Zardari, Imran said that one does not become a leader if leadership is bequeathed to them. The PTI chief continued his tirade, directing his ire towards the Awami National Party chief Asfandyar Wali and Jamiat Ulema Islam-Fazal group (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman.

He urged his supporters to turn out at his demonstration at D-Chowk on Sunday and for a whole day of activity on Eid day where Eid prayers will be led by Dr Tahirul Qadri.
