ISLAMABAD: US Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan Dan Feldman met Adviser for National Security and Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz at the foreign ministry in Islamabad on Tuesday.
Feldman will meet with civilian and military officials as well as representatives from civil society during his visit.
The American envoy will travel to Beijing from October 30 to October 31. He will join a senior US delegation to participate in the ‘Heart of Asia’ conference.
“The conference is an important opportunity to discuss the effort by many in the region to expand political, security, and economic support for Afghanistan. Special Representative Feldman will also conduct bilateral meetings with key Chinese counterparts to exchange views on the situation in Afghanistan,” the State Department said.
