Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl’s Swabi chapter on Wednesday reviewed arrangements for a grand protest in Peshawar on August 31 against the sit-in of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf currently under way in Islamabad.
District ameer JUI-F, Maulana Attaul Haq Darvaish chaired a meeting which was attended by senior provincial leaders of the party.
Darvaish said party workers will leave early morning for Peshawar on August 31 via Swabi motorway, with flags of the party hoisted on every vehicle.
The JUI-F leader added activists from all over Swabi will turn up for JUI-F’s protest in large numbers.
He also said reorganisation of the party at the union council level will be completed in the first week of September.
The party leader vowed to continue support for the displaced persons of Waziristan and the rain-affected families across the province.
Moreover, Darvaish blamed PTI chief Imran Khan for taking Islamabad hostage with his ongoing protest.
